Established in 2006, Albertville Muslim Jamaat is registered Non-Profit and Public Benefits Organisation, dedicated to fostering a sustainable and supportive community. Our mission focuses on providing essential services, alleviating poverty, and uplifting those in need. With a welcoming spirit, we aim to create opportunities for growth and resilience.
Albertville was known as Ablative in 1896. Through the application of the Slums Act of 1934, people of "color" were moved out of the area to designated areas. Toward the end of apartheid (and beyond) many Muslim families and people of "color" returned and settled in Albertville. Albertville is located in close proximity to Westpark Cemetery
